Primary learning modules: The course is broken down into SEVEN main modules:

1. Tactical Shooting
  • Tactical Israeli Point Shooting

  • Dynamic drills using handguns and assault rifle (M4, AK-47)

  • Engaging various targets

  • Shooting from a moving vehicle  (static and dynamic)

  • Shooting in densely populated areas

  • Shoot/don’t shoot drills and exercises

  • Using cover while shooting:  left, right, above, below

  • Simulative instinctive shooting

  • Procedures for drawing weapons

  • Quick recovery from weapon jams (Israeli method)

  • Shooting while injured and disoriented

  • High emotional and mental pressure and tension exercises

  • Tactically moving within a crowd

  • Tactical use of a flashlight

  • Live fire through vehicle windows

  • Procedures for tactically exiting a vehicle

  • Shooting while in motion (running, walking)

  • Shooting through vehicle windshield

  • Force on force shooting exercises

  • Shooting while falling back

  • One hand magazine change

  • Live fire exercises on a vehicle using various firearm calibers (observing the proper area of the vehicle to take cover from shots)

  • 3. Weapons Disarmament
  • Handgun and assault rifle disarmament:

  • Front

  • Back

  • Side (left, right)

  • Waist level

  • Diagonal

  • While kneeling, lying

  • While handcuffed, all directions

  • Disarming from a distance (3 to 7 feet)

  • Quick disarming and shooting multiple targets

  • Two shooter disarmament.

  • 4. Escaping from Captivity
  • Surviving execution and beheading attempts

  • Improvising/creating weapons

  • Behavior while being held hostage

  • Using deception against the enemy

  • Fighting while injured

  • Driving while handcuffed behind the back

  • Releasing from being tied by a rope, duct tape, wire and handcuffs

  • Escaping from captivity

  • Knife throwing (aiming, short, long distance, time pressure)

  • 5. Counter Ambush Tactics
  • Tactical evacuation under ambush

  • Individual rapid response to an ambush

  • Team rapid response to and ambush

  • Assisting a friendly team under ambush

  • Deceptive counter ambush tactics

  • Special techniques developed by CRI to eliminate attacking insurgents within 10 seconds.

  • 6. IED's
  • Explosives and letter bombs

  • Counter measures for explosives

  • IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) recognition Terrorist methods of operation using explosives

  • Scanning a building for booby traps

  • Hands on building of simulated IED’s (for academic proposes)

  • 7. Tactical Medicine
  • Tactical Medicine in a combat environment

  • Care under the most life-threatening conditions

  • Priorities of administering first aid under fire

  • HCAPER – Trauma Casualty assessment, body search

  • Basic and Intermediate airway management

  • Open and Closed chest wounds and decompression

  • Tension Pneumothorax

  • Hemorrhage management including tourniquet use

  • Patient Assessment: Triage, Primary and Secondary Surveys

  • The realities of setting up an efficient triage system

  • Basic and Intermediate Airway Management

  • Hemorrhage/Bleeding Management–Tourniquets/Hemostatic Agents

  • Basic Life Support: Artificial Respiration & CPR

  • Cervical Spine Injuries and Immobilization

  • Musculo-skeletal Injuries and Splinting
